@torgojones @InternetH0F "Alignment"/azimuth is the orientation of the tape heads (record/playback) w.r.t. to the tape itself. An azimuth that is off causes suboptimal frequency response (loss of treble, mostly) & phase shifts. Most decks flip the heads at reverse, which is not precise enough.
