ACC's Jim Phillips on current/future membership: "I've said this multiple times: I want this to be a place where schools want to be, not have to be. So I'll leave it at that. I want people to want to be in the ACC, not forced to be in the ACC"
In Florida, counties are preparing for the elimination of property tax
Hillsborough County is going to make up the revenue by charging you money when you take your kid to the park and increasing fuel taxes while boomers occupying all the housing stock will laugh
@MarshallTaylor_@CentralNorvell Deion has put zero emphasis on aggressive high school recruiting, no idea why people think he’d start having a passion for it if he came to FSU.
Herro carried Miami when Jimmy quit on them.
Jaquez was a hooper the moment he got here.
Ware gave a lot of hope. Kas was balling every time he got his shot to play.
Each of those guys brought something and should be remembered fondly.
Respect.
@heat_breeze@ItsFeiny@IraHeatBeat Basically every single person reporting on this had said the Bucks want more young players and picks than the Heat are willing to give up.
@ItsFeiny@IraHeatBeat And YOU have no idea that the Bucks were going to drag this out if they got an offer they liked. The Bucks told Miami what they wanted and Miami said it was too much, that much we do know. You allowed it to drag out and you got burned….again.
@ItsFeiny@IraHeatBeat They did the EXACT same thing they did with Dame. Stood firm on an offer the other team didn’t like because they thought they had the upper hand. The other team drags it out until a better offer comes along. They had a window to get a deal done and they blew it out of arrogance.
Don’t even have to say in retrospect, in the moment it was the OBVIOUS thing to do, Pat was just too stubborn to do it. That finals run from the play in a few years back has made these guys completely delusional that “anything can happen” if you just make the playoffs.
In retrospect, it made much more sense for Miami to tank the end of the season so they’d have a better pick to offer Milwaukee that could match the Brown piece. People here were BEGGING the Heat to do it at the time, too.
But we know about the commandments.
@Alf954@GregSylvander@HeatForum Like I said, it’s all fine, I just don’t want to see the obnoxious “we had it here first before the big guys” when one of their guesses is finally right.
@Alf954@GregSylvander@HeatForum You know the game they play, HEAVILY insinuating a trade is going to happen imminently without fully committing to it. Much further over the line than real reporters do. Then when it falls apart it’s “I never said it was a done deal.”
