John C. Reilly questions why human rights have become political
"If you stand up for human rights, why is that a right or left thing? Why aren’t people on the right wing concerned about human rights?"
"Elon Musk says, 'don’t be fooled by the empathy trap'. ... Empathy is not a trap, empathy is a superpower. It’s what makes human beings exceptional, our ability to look outside ourself”
"Do unto others ... It's crazy that we have to argue for these things"

The Pentagon is the only place in America where you can fail 8 audits in a row, admit you’ll fail the next few & still get handed more money than you asked for.
But let a family need help buying groceries and suddenly it’s a lecture about hard work, responsibility & bootstraps.
Trump is so obviously racist, but he’s done so much wrong and evil that we just gloss over the fact that he doesn’t call Barack “President Obama”. He intentionally says Hussein as a dog whistle to all his racist followers.
This guy has done so much damage to this country and to the office of presidency. Truly a historic embarrassment.
It’s absolutely mind-blowing how evidence comes out showing that Karmelo Anthony was actually attacked and jumped; he even ran away, and they pursued him. He had no choice but to defend himself; he was scared. It’s crazy how the media has portrayed Austin Metcalf as an angel when in reality Karmelo was the victim.
Just was telling my daughter yesterday what my grandma told me. My great uncle, my great grandmas brother. Got killed by a white womans husband over a lie. Drunk white man walked into the court and shot him dead in court. Grandma said thats apart of history in Blanchard, Tx few miles outside of Livingston, Tx.
White dude in front of me at the parade said nothing for Spike Lee but went apeshit for Ben Stiller. That’s how a lot of you so called cinephiles be acting, just so you know.
I have never associated Ben Stiller with the Knicks as it’s main celebrity. It has always been Spike Lee. going back to my damn middle school days, it was Spike Lee in a Knicks fitted on the sideline - even when they sucked balls. The fact that Stiller has somehow finageled his way as their *celebrity guy* & now the figurehead of this doc. Just feels like something that was stolen from Spike. maybe not, but it sure feels that way. I can’t be the only one noticing.
