@mitchellh I don't know the context either, but I've flown first class several times and never paid for it. If you fly a lot, you build status. If you're on a flight that's empty, you'll get upgraded.
@jasonfried I imagine it can lead toward asymmetric outcomes. However, can't it also be a form of slavery as well? You can never let go of what you're fighting.
@mitchellh@tekbog Oh wow! I didn't realize that. I hit at ~v0.5 and it was on point immediately for us.
Would you approach the same way today? Conferences, meetups, etc?
@mitchellh@tekbog What would be your general approach to tackling the social problem? In the early TF days, there was a massive void so it took off like wildfire. Now, convincing migration would be warranted only if there's a massive improvement.
@ilyasu I personalized to be exactly what I wanted. I have a comfortable seat to read, meditate, etc. I have a massive sit to stand desk that is perfect for focusing.
I wish I had more light -- there is no overhead light in the ceiling.
@MartinGTobias I've always found this type of thing to seem like advice, but not something to focus on. It's more an emergent property that's observed post facto.
@MartinGTobias I like that. I've seen so many teams measure speed by how much was shipped. No indicator on whether what they shipped was even useful to the market.
