Heard earlier of the death of one of my Physics Professors from Galway University. Philip Walton RIP. He was the son of a Nobel Prize winner and a dedicated scientist who taught us a lot about Geneal Physics and specially about Medical and other applications of Physics . RIP

@muirtheimhne RIP Philip, many fond memories of him in UCG as it was called when I was a student, introduced us to medical imaging in 4th year physics and triggered an interest in medical physics which I persued. An absolute gentleman, and a true gifted teacher and scientist. RIP
