@RichieCheers@The1957News Exactly, 👍
Pure political procurement gigs.
What about the foreign contractors working on the roads ? it is not about Ghana’s Engineers.
@googlepubpolicy That is true, just as we have responsible AI, we do have irresponsible AI. If we make our choices based on good policy and strategy, the world of AI will be much better place.
@patrickkwabena@MTNGhana Do banks charge when you move money from your bank account to your momo ? if they do then MTN should be allowed. If the regulator won’t allow MTN to charge for Momo to Bank account, then they need to stopped the banks too from charging consumers for bank to momo.
@Joy997FM Ehard oooo …..MTN service charge is E-Levy.
We have a long way to go.
When you transfer money from bank account to momo, your bank will take their service charge but that is not E-Levy. Doing the reverse from momo to bank account , the service charge is E-Levy. ♀️
@seth_doe22 I agree with your that the charges must be justifiable. May be the reason it is capped irrespective of the amount.
The whole issue of service charges is failure from the regulators and policy largely. All our regulators react and not being proactive.
@seth_doe22 Oh counsel, my issue isn’t necessarily about the regulator stepping in or you.Maybe because i responded on that thread.
My point is abt the general backlash n seems more like it there shouldn’t be service charges. We want to use services for free.
@kofiemeritus@BBSimons But why wound they focus on public procurement indiscipline when it is their cash cow. More shocking is why the commentary is about the future being about technology but no efforts to invest in R&D and local innovation that will lead to our digital sovereignty as a country.
@Nana_kesse1 Even with the DSTV, we now pay about 190gh for compact which was 300 + .
He needs to relax and understand how to lead, manage and communicate to citizens.
