Many people feel that 'Apu trilogy' is Satyajit Ray's best work, but for me, his best work is "Charulata" (1964). Satyajit Ray too thought the same [Wes Anderson also agrees]. When compared to "Pather Panchali" (1956), this is relatively lesser known and I hope it changes in the future. Madhabi Mukherjee's acting and beauty, in addition to Ray's masterful direction, makes the movie unforgettable.
