Personal tweets on nursing, health policy, rugby, and pork pies. Nurse and former Labour parliamentary candidate. Wrote something for the Guardian once.
@theRCN@SouthEastRCN@PMarquisRCN What on earth are the RCN - an apparently 'apolitical' organisation doing cosying up to the opposition party who have nonsay in our pay deal? This is flagrant show of RCN support for the Conservative Party on Members time!
It was great to see Professor Nicola Ranger of @theRCN today to continue our work together to support our nurses who work tirelessly to look after us all when we need it most.
@wesstreeting The stupid stuff that we should get rid of is a shadow health sectetary, who is funded by private healthcare, and 'coincidentally' can't shut up about how the private sector will save the NHS.
Labour opposition used to oppose the Tories - these days, they try to out-Tory them
There was one person in my audience today when I performed my one woman play, โSunsetsโ at #edfringe. Itโs fine, isnโt it? Itโs fineโฆ? ๐ฅน
Listen to Chichi share why she decided to #VoteForStrike in the @theRCN ballot!
The current ballot is running till 23rd June - like Chichi says, there is only one way to vote if we want to achieve patient safety and safe staffing!

Suicide prevention is about addressing the causes of suicidal ideation - not everyone who is suicidal is mentally ill.
Men and women all over the country struggle EVERY DAY with a government and now even an opposition that does nothing and promises nothing to support them to live
...and as for mental health support for suicides.
I'll tell you how to reduce suicides. Ready?
Stop pushing people to the edge and being surprised when they fall off it.
Homelessness
Absolute and in work poverty
Food banks
Problems to be addressed before tackling the outcome
Without supporting the working people that keep the NHS going, all the clickbait in the world is not going to improve the NHS - start by agreeing to pay the health workers and health support staff PROPERLY, instead of banning Labour MPs (LABOUR MPs!!!) from picket lines
What a load of rubbish.
Another blithe lie about recruiting nurses. Where are Labour finding people willing to work for 3 years to go into debt, to then work below the level of being able to afford to eat, whilst simultaneously having more clinical responsibility than ever?
@PMarquisRCN Brilliant interview on @TimesRadio
Every single day patients die, have essential investigations and surgeries cancelled, and have delayed discharges leading to worse outcomes.
Every.
Single.
Day.
Fund the NHS.
PAY NURSES.
Stop the systematic dismantling of NHS
Is there anything more depressing in health care than patients and visitors crowded around the FRONT entrance of a hospital surrounded by no smoking signs having fag after fag?
Personally, I don't want to walk through clouds of smoke, thanks.
@HospColchester
Don't tell me there's not enough money to pay public sector workers properly when just with what is given away, the Government could pay for a whole second NHS.
The Conservative Government gives away between ยฃ90 and ยฃ120 billion in Corporate Tax Relief every year - business taxes, that are due to the Treasury, being written off by the Government.
For context, the entire running cost of the NHS for a year is c.ยฃ100 billion.
