Great to be exposing our @StMarysSAHPS and @PhysEd_SportYD students to more guest lecturers this morning.
I'm sure they all benefited greatly from listening to @Sawhno's journey in Sport Development
Felt so humbled to be given the opportunity to shape player welfare worldwide in the women and girl's game in rugby as a member of their newly formed Player Welfare Committee
Ahead of the Game is one of our flagship programmes we deliver that focusses on youth mental health.
What is it though, and why is it important - watch this 👇

Fantastic to have @Transsomething talking to our level 5 @PhysEd_SportYD and @StMarysSAHPS students about her work in Football vs Transphobia and what positive experiences for Trans women in sport can look like.
😮Do @Jodie_WS & Simon at @SportStMarys have any interested trainee coaching contacts who could volunteer with @A_CAA in Feltham? @PhysEd_SportYD ⚽️
We can't wait for this on Thursday. Please come along and engage with these fantastic speakers.
We've so much to learn about the role community sport can play in supporting men's Mental Health

We are very excited about our speakers for our webinar next Thursday.
We are very lucky to have the wonderful Hollie Smith.
Hollie is Wellbeing Manager at @quinsfoundation , the charitable arm of @Harlequins .
Hollie oversees the implementation and delivery of all wellbeing programmes including Ahead of the Game, which is delivered in partnership with @MovemberUK to help increase awareness about mental health, and support athletes, coaches and parents with what they need to know.
8th-12th November-Wobble Week 2021! It's normal to have a 'wobble' this time of year. The weather's changed, exams are coming up & heading towards Christmas isn't always a happy time for everyone. See the schedule & info on next week's Wobble Week below ⬇️ @StWidening@stmaryssu
⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️ The benefits linked between exercise and your wellbeing are endless. See info below on @SportStMarys Stress Buster - Recreational Football Programme. A few of us from Student Services will be around for the post-kick about workshops ⚽️😀
Having spoken with Mark, Holly and Sak their energy and enthusiasm is infectious and they have such a powerful way of verbalising the things which we feel or think about, but don't always have the vocabulary and skills to vocalise.
