@coys100 A guy from Northampton was on twitter the other day saying Glasgow was a 'horrible place to live'- although he admitted he'd never been- large swathes of the WestEnd put London/most other Euro cities to shame- never mind the City Centre
@coys100 I'm assuming you've never been to Glasgow- its Scotland's only metropolis & feels like it in comparison to Edinburgh. Glasgow has the 2nd largest rail network in the UK, the second busiest city centre daily footfall, its transport network serves travel to work pop of 2.5m
@coys100 In terms of like for like metrics you can't really compare Edinburgh to Glasgow- you can see the differential here/something like 3 to 1 https://t.co/XaF9J60wZy
@coys100 Glasgow's pop was just under 1.5m before the overspill dispersal/boundary changes- Edinburgh is around 500k- Greater Glasgow is around 2m/add in fans from wider Scotland & Ireland
Here is how you imagine the 150k lives lost to Covid.
Itβs just taken me 10 mins to walk the half kilometre length of the national @CovidMemorialUK wall, directly opposite parliament.
Each heart represents one of those 150k lost, those families changed forever.

@RosieisaHolt This feels like a possible parody of Kirsty Allsopp- if a parody of Kirsty Allsopp is possible...its a spot on of the cartoon complacency of the Torygraph rah rahs like Jemima Lewis et al
