On 3 July 2026, we visited Nigeria's Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation as part of our ongoing stakeholder engagement and advocacy on tackling misinformation and hate speech in the digital space.

During the visit, we held a productive meeting with Dr Suleiman Haruna, the ministry's Director of Public Relations and Protocol. We discussed the growing challenges of information dissemination in Nigeria, the ministry's role in addressing them, and areas where collaboration could make a meaningful impact.

The meeting opened the door to a potential partnership between the two organisations
