This is one of the reasons I keep fighting for change in Zimbabwe. A close relative of mine had Traumatic Brain Injury here in USA, they had to cut a big chunk of his skull and stored it a freezer for 2 months. He was in a comma for weeks. They put back the skull. Took him through rehab. Right now he is 95% back.
The level of specialty care that he received, from being airlifted to the trauma center, to the surgeries and ICU care was unprecedented. He is alive today because there was a functional healthcare system.
I reflect on this and wonder what would have happened had this happened to him in Zimbabwe. He most probably would be dead, and the majority would be mourning at the funeral saying "Mwari vaita kuda kwavo!"
What I have learnt here is that once the healthcare system is involved people don't just die. There is always an attempt to save the life. So, when I see the ZANU PF's food scavengers going up the hill shouting about an x-ray machine, I feel sad. Development is intentional, deliberate and planned.
* MESSAGE FROM CONCERNED CITIZENS OF ZIMBABWE*
“Fellow Citizens,
We want to say *THANK YOU* to every single person who showed up at the *Zimbabwe Embassy in Pretoria*.
To the *March & March team who stood with us*, and to the *Zimbabweans - Concerned Citizens -
31 July 2026 was a huge success in the hearts and minds of the majority of the people.

31 July 2026 was a huge success in the hearts and minds of the majority of the people. Its purpose was to send the following message to the regime PEACEFULLY:NO TO THE 2030/CAB3/CAA3 agenda.
The reaction of the regime told it all: they got the message, they do not like the message, they are prepared to assault, torture, imprison and kill in a bid to suppress the message and they will abuse/misuse State resources to fund oppression.
We are not deterred. We remain determined. Now 31 July was an initiative of others which we supported. We are now organising our own peaceful actions to continue with the same message: NO TO THE 2030/CAB3/CAA3 agenda.
I have to remind all that we have two strategies: legal battles in the courts and peaceful political action. The courts will hear us soon. Peaceful political actions are continuing. CAA3 will be reversed. We will win.
These hypocrites. Did you tell also ZANU supporters who assaulted Kelvin Bhonzo? Kelvin Bhonzo died from the injuries he sustained. Where is the call for peace and unity when opposition supporters are killed by ZANU supporters?
Then people like Maponga will tell us that democracy is a Western concept, so is brutalising and oppressing opposition leaders an African concept we should be okay with? How are we not pained by what's happening to Dr. Kizza Besigye? This is unacceptable.
Overreaction only gives significance to an event that was never effectively mobilised in the first place. CAB3 is intended to eliminate this kind of governance by replacing politics driven by authoritarianism with a more stable and institutional framework.
🔸Good day @nickmangwana,
Why do the beds at Parirenyatwa Hospital @PGHZIM have no bedsheets or linen? Why are the blankets so dirty? Is this hygienic? Why are the walls dilapidated? Ko iyo tsvina? Ndiyo 2030 yacho? Hakuna chipatara chakadaro. How disgusting.
We need new leaders.🇿🇼
From what I have witnessed in recent days, Zimbabweans, by an overwhelming majority, are determined to defeat the 2030/CAB3/CAA3 agenda. 31 July 2026 is the first of many days ahead, when the people will say, PEACEFULLY: NO TO 2030/CAB3/CAA3. We will win.
*31 July is Regional*
Our struggle has turned regional. All regional democratic forces are rallying behind us. March and March of Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma of South Africa, Anamola of the most powerful opposition leader in Southern Africa of Mozambique and now the Botswana Movement for Democracy (BMD), are rallying behind the people of Zimbabwe. On 31st of March they will be holding marches in their countries in solidarity with the people of Zimbabwe.
31st of July is spiritual. The spirits of the ancestors of Zimbabwe and God are with us.

For a government that says it has people on their side I wonder what it is that it is afraid of? Let people demonstrate. It’s their constitutional right.
