I am not a fan of President Tinubu but I think people should stop asking him to leave 2027 election on the basis of the kidnapped children because this is why this kind of politically orchestrated kidnappings will never stop. If you have observed carefully, these kinds of unfortunate kidnappings always happens when a general election is approaching in Naija. Should that not tell anyone why it has happened?
It will continue as long a we continue to make it an important factor in electioneering and campaign because the opposition will continue to use it as a tool to run down the ruling party. That's just a thought that came to my mind. What do you think? No insults please, just share your opinion, which may differ from mine.
@martindn85@ReshadRahman@MatteMoretto Its true what you have said but i'll tell you this for a fact, Julian Alvarez is not like those two you mentioned. He's a Barca type player. I will remind you when he gets to Barca.
🏆⚽ANOTHER CHAMPION IN THE FAMILY. CHEERS TO MORPETH DRAGONS U-15s! ⚽🏆
Today, my heart is filled with gratitude, pride, and joy as I celebrate my son, Oredeji Emmanuel Fagbamiye (Mano), and his incredible teammates for becoming the 2025/2026 Northumberland Football League U-15 Champions!
What a remarkable achievement!
Behind this medal and trophy lies months of sacrifice, commitment, determination, and countless hours of training. Week after week, these young men battled through tough fixtures, challenging weather conditions, and strong opposition, yet they never gave up. Their hard work, discipline, and belief in one another have finally been rewarded with the title of League Champions.
A special appreciation goes to their outstanding coach, Lee Burton, whose dedication to these boys goes far beyond football. Coach Lee has invested his time, energy, wisdom, and heart into developing this team. His commitment to helping these young players grow both on and off the pitch has been exceptional.
Personally, I want to say a huge thank you to Coach Lee for the fatherly role he has played in Emmanuel's football journey. Because of my work commitments, there were many occasions when I couldn't take Emmanuel to training sessions or matches. Yet Coach Lee consistently stepped in, picking him up and bringing him home safely, week after week, without hesitation.
That level of care, support, and belief cannot be measured.
Thank you for seeing potential in Emmanuel. Thank you for encouraging him, challenging him, and helping him become a better player and a better young man. We will never take your kindness for granted.
To my son, Emmanuel (Mano), congratulations! Your hard work, dedication, and willingness to learn have paid off. This medal is proof that commitment produces results. Continue to stay humble, continue to work hard, continue to listen, and continue to dream big. This is only the beginning. Greater achievements await you next season and beyond.
To the entire squad, including Josh, Jamie, Dan, Hollie, Ethan,Daniel, Ben, Theo, Mikey, Max, Dylan, Robert and every single player who wore the badge with pride, congratulations! You have shown what teamwork, friendship, resilience, and determination can achieve. Football is a team sport, and every one of you played a part in bringing this trophy home.
You have made your families, coaches, school, and community proud.
Now the challenge begins.
As you move up to U-16 level next season, keep the same hunger, keep the same work ethic, and keep believing in yourselves. Champions are not remembered only for winning once; they are remembered for defending what they have earned.
Go and retain that trophy! 🏆
Congratulations once again to every player, coach, parent, and supporter who contributed to this wonderful achievement.
Northumberland Football League U-15 Champions 2025/2026 Well done, boys. The future is bright!

OF ANTHONY GORDON TO BARCA.
Someone asked me this question about this transfer move by Barca to bring Gordon from Newcastle united. Is Gordon really that good?
My response;
Yes, I think Anthony Gordon could actually be a very good fit for FC Barcelona, especially under Hansi Flick’s style of football. But whether he becomes a “Barça-level star” depends on how he adapts technically and mentally.
Why he fits Barça well:
• Explosive pace and directness
Barça sometimes struggle against deep defensive blocks. Gordon attacks space aggressively, carries the ball at speed, and constantly runs behind defenders. That adds a very Premier League-style intensity to Barça’s attack.
• Elite pressing and work rate
One thing Flick values massively is pressing. Gordon is relentless without the ball. Even rival fans on Reddit are highlighting his defensive work and pressing intensity as a major reason he suits Barça.
• Versatility
He can play left wing, right wing, or even centrally when needed. That flexibility is valuable in a squad built around rotation with players like Lamine Yamal and Raphinha.
• Improved end product
He is no longer just a fast winger. Reports note he scored 17 goals this season, including 10 in the Champions League. That is serious output.
Where the doubts come in:
• Barça fans expect technical brilliance
At Barça, fans compare attackers to players like Neymar, Ronaldinho, or even current technically gifted players. Gordon is more explosive and aggressive than elegant.
• Decision making can still fluctuate
He sometimes forces attacks too quickly instead of slowing the game and combining patiently, which Barça traditionally value.
• Price tag pressure
Reports suggest the fee could reach around €80m/£69m. At that price, expectations become huge immediately.
My football opinion?
He may not become the “face” of Barça, but he absolutely looks capable of becoming a dangerous, high intensity modern winger for them. In today’s football, especially under Flick, athleticism, pressing, and vertical attacking matter almost as much as pure flair.
If Barça truly complete the move, I can honestly see Gordon becoming one of those players fans appreciate more and more after watching him weekly.
And that's it for 2025/2026 ladies and gents. La liga is a wrap. Barca tops by 8 points advantage over archrivals Real Madrid who goes trophyldss this season. Up Barca. Truly more than a club.
@Iphymbah@ReshadRahman@MatteMoretto Nico is still with Atletic Bilbao but he has had tge worst stats of his career. Even Bilbao is tired of his lacklustre performance and are looking to ship him off. He has become a shadow of himself.
Thats one way of looking at it but another is this. As we speak, Bilbao are putting Nico up for sale and the boy is wishing and praying Barca comes back. (Though Laporta has made us proud by rejecting the offer) So where is the place of "my boyish club" now that he's being put up for sale?
I believe this Fc Barcelona's pursuit/eyeing of Julian Alvarez will end up like Nico William's case. He will not come to Barca as ATM will improve his contract and he will stay and not perform at the same level anymore.
