It’s a politically risky and unpopular decision. But, necessary for the sake of Bengaluru.
At least some footpaths should be reserved for pedestrians. I request people to respect the fundamental right of public to decent footpath. Pls voluntarily remove encroachments or obstructions. It is the law. It may inconvenience you. But, it is for the larger good.

ಇದು ರಾಜಕೀಯ ರಿಸ್ಕ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಕೆಲವರಿಗೆ ಹಿಡಿಸಿದ ನಿಲುವು. ಆದರೆ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಜನರ ಅವಶ್ಯಕತೆ.

ಕನಿಷ್ಠ ಕೆಲವು ಪಾದಚಾರಿ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳಾದರೂ ನಡೆಯುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಮೀಸಲಾಗಿರಬೇಕು. ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಿಗೆ ಸುಗಮ ಪಾದಚಾರಿಮಾರ್ಗದ ಮೂಲಭೂತ ಹಕ್ಕನ್ನು ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಗೌರವಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ವಿನಂತಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.

ದಯವಿಟ್ಟು ಸ್ವಯಂ ಪ್ರೇರಿತರಾಗಿ ಒತ್ತುವರಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಅಡತಡೆಗಳನ್ನು ತೆರವುಗೊಳಿಸಿ, ಇದು ಕಾನೂನಿನ ಅವಶ್ಯಕತೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.

ಇದರಿಂದ ಕೆಲವರಿಗೆ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಅನಾನುಕೂಲ ಉಂಟಾಗಬಹುದು ಆದರೆ ಇದು ನಮ್ಮ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರ ಹಿತಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿರುವ ಕ್ರಮವಾಗಿದೆ.

Conducted a review meeting with #BMRCL officials to assess the progress of ongoing #NammaMetro projects and discuss current timelines.

Target Deadlines for Namma Metro Projects:

* August 2026: Pink Line – Kalena Agrahara to Tavarekere
* March 2027: Pink Line extension up to Nagawara
* October 2026: Trial runs expected to commence between KR Puram and Marathahalli, extending up to HSR Layout
* June 2027: Metro connectivity from Hebbal to Airport
* December 2027: Metro connectivity from KR Puram to Hebbal

The officers are directed to closely monitor progress and ensure timely completion of all project milestones.

Salute to these incredible women! I’ve been to Leh around 10 times, yet I still don’t have the courage to ride a bike there.

Riding bike to Leh is far more challenging than driving a car you experience the changing weather every hour, battle unpredictable conditions, and ride through some of the highest altitudes in the world.

At 51 and 59 years of age, Seema and Jayasree from Kerala completed the journey all the way to Umling La, while another rider made the remarkable ride from Bangalore to Leh. These women are among nine riders, aged between 24 and 59, who undertook this demanding journey to Leh and Umling La.

This is the beautiful side of India stories of determination, courage, and adventure.

Sadly, you won’t see much media coverage of achievements like these, but honestly, they and foreign travellers are a true inspiration and motivation for countless others to step beyond their limits and chase their dreams. 👏🇮🇳

₹ 2000 CR approved for internal road asphalting in #Bengaluru.

The Government has taken a fast and major decision to invest ₹ 2000 Cr to improve the local/ward level internal roads of Bengaluru. Entire major roads are taken up under different programs, Government felt the urgent need to improve local roads. In response to demands from MLA and public, the government has made a swift decision to make this major investment to improve road infrastructure.

Government has also given permission to call short term tenders to expedite the implementation. The funds are allocated to all constituencies irrespective of the Party of MLAs.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ನಗರದ ವಾರ್ಡ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಮಟ್ಟದ ಒಳರಸ್ತೆಗಳ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗಾಗಿ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರವು ₹2,000 ಕೋಟಿ ಹೂಡಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಲು ಮಹತ್ವದ ಹಾಗೂ ತ್ವರಿತ ನಿರ್ಧಾರ ಕೈಗೊಂಡಿದೆ.

ನಗರದ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ರಸ್ತೆಗಳನ್ನು ವಿವಿಧ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳಡಿ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಪಡಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆ, ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರ ದೈನಂದಿನ ಸಂಚಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಅಗತ್ಯವಾಗಿರುವ ಒಳರಸ್ತೆಗಳ ಸುಧಾರಣೆಯ ತುರ್ತು ಅಗತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಮನಗಂಡಿದೆ.

ಶಾಸಕರು ಹಾಗೂ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಿಂದ ಬಂದಿರುವ ಬೇಡಿಕೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಸ್ಪಂದಿಸಿ ಈ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಅನುದಾನವನ್ನು ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಮಂಜೂರು ಮಾಡಿದೆ. ಕಾಮಗಾರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಶೀಘ್ರವಾಗಿ ಆರಂಭಿಸಿ ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಳಿಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಅಲ್ಪಾವಧಿಯ ಟೆಂಡರ್‌ಗಳನ್ನು ಕರೆಯಲು ಸಹ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಅನುಮತಿ ನೀಡಿದೆ.

ಯಾವುದೇ ಪಕ್ಷಭೇದವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಿಧಾನಸಭಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳಿಗೆ ಅನುದಾನ ಹಂಚಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ನಗರದ ಸಮಗ್ರ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮಾನ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗೆ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಬದ್ಧವಾಗಿದೆ.
