Meeting @tunde_od at #LISTEN was a moment of alignment. 💫
As a @lsuds_official alumnus, coming to LISTEN is homecoming. Whether it’s Chess or Yorùbá storytelling, culture is a tool for growth.
I'll appreciate our follow-up. @chessinslums! 🥂 #Yoruba#Storytelling#Impact
My Journey with Yorùbá is no longer local - it is becoming truly global.
Here's a moment with a Sierra Leonean friend, Jabee, who insisted on learning a Yorùbá proverb. What started as curiosity quickly grew into commitment.

These moments affirm one thing - language is not just communication; it is identity, culture, and connection.
As a Yorùbá teacher and cultural advocate, I am committed to taking Yorùbá proverbs and teachings beyond geographical boundaries.
I have also seen my Hausa friends marvelled at my Yorùbá poetry rendition. Also, some of them embrace the language to the point where they can now exchange greetings in Yorùbá with confidence and pride.
Today, he can confidently read the Yorùbá alphabet, understand pronouns, and pronounce basic bi-syllabic words with clarity.
This experience reflects a larger reality I have witnessed over time: Yorùbá is crossing borders.
@woye1@HMKemiAdeosun Abeg, Oga Woye, help me knock her door o
