it probably means that the models are now large enough to look at a subset of the math landscape at a higher level of abstraction compared to humans, and from that vantage point can spot glaring holes more easily. Probably analogous to how they were first better at correcting bad human prose before they became better writers than most of us.

@viktaur27 @Teslarati The rate of improvement from original GPT to GPT-3 is impressive. If this rate of improvement continues, GPT-5 or 6 could be indistinguishable from the smartest humans. Just my opinion, not an endorsement. I left OpenAI 2 to 3 years ago. Am a neutral outsider at this point.

Become the interface to everything on the computer. Nobody really wants to click endlessly or to figure out where the UI buried what they care about.

Make /goal a first class citizen. Let us use it interchangeably for projects. "Make sure I do cardio twice a week" should totally work as a goal.

Agents control panel that feels like I'm talking to a team of humans, not running scripts in random directories.

Fix the whole working directory context. Programmers get it, normal users don't, and they shouldn't have to.
