This is a very misleading headline from The Telegraph . Family court findings of the same abuse still stay secret, even though the same crime would now get a domestic abuser 'named and shamed.'
Criminal judges must now say in open court when an offence involves domestic abuse and put that on the record for police, probation and prisons for future monitoring purposes. But a family judge can find the same conduct, and it stays inside private proceedings.

There are five things you must learn to control.
First, your Mouth. Speak less. Speak kind.
Second, your Mind. Keep it calm
Third, your Mood. Don’t let it swing you like a leaf in the wind.
Fourth, your Manner. Stay humble and respectful.
Fifth, your Money. Use it wisely.
Highly recommend letting people know you're capable of madness from time to time. Especially if you're a quiet, soft spoken person. Disrespect sometimes needs to be met with disrespect.. let mfers know you can go from 0-100 real quick.
I don’t think a lot of people in the mental health world grasp the relationship between psychological abuse, coercive control, chronic confusion, nervous system collapse and diagnoses like Bipolar, Borderline or whatever other label gets slapped on a woman who is trying to survive an abusive and chaotic environment.
I’ve had a lot of people reach out lately asking me how I “healed from bipolar,” and I will be very clear:
I was diagnosed with “bipolar” while I was in acute benzodiazepine withdrawal, coming out of decades of psychiatric drugging while also living inside an abusive, chaotic, destabilizing marriage and family system. So the first thing I did was not “heal bipolar.”
The first thing I did was get away from the people and environments that were constantly dysregulating me. I got away from the lying, the betrayals, the gaslighting, the deceit, the emotional whiplash, the double binds, the confusion and the cruelty that people harming me would take zero accountability for.
Leaving that and working to right my reality was more difficult than any drug I had ever been on or come off of. It was like drug withdrawal times 1000, because it was breaking patterns and conditioning I had learned from a very early age—to override my intuition and my body and orbit around people who were harming me. Only those who have experienced it and left will understand what I’m talking about.
And leaving that did not magically fix everything overnight. I was still in psych drug withdrawal, still traumatized, still confused, still battered, and my body and my brain were still on fire. But NONE of my healing could not start actually getting better until I removed myself from chaotic and abusive relationships.
That was the key.
Because you can meditate, supplement, journal, pray, detox, go to therapy, take medication, come off medication, read every book and do every healing protocol on earth, but if your nervous system is still living inside relational danger, your body is going to keep responding like it is in danger.
Sometimes what gets diagnosed as a disorder is actually a sane response to an insane environment.
Underrated life hacks:
- pray first thing every morning, last thing every night
- always keep an open notebook and pen within sight
- halve the amount time you allot yourself to read books & do your work
- extend your vision out by 5-10 years, then reverse engineer to present
- every time you catch yourself worrying, immediately surrender it to God
- never stop learning, ever, no matter what
- recognize no one is stopping you more than yourself
#Narcissist#Hypocrisy:
The narc wants what they want & they want it now, victims expected to snap to it. You are expected to read their minds: "You should have known" said frequently.
Victims' wants however will be 'later', next week, sometime (never).
#NarcissisticAbuse
Set those #boundaries, start saying 'no', start speaking up & out, & watch those toxics flush away as they seek 'easier' victims.
You can do it. I know you can.
Scary? You bet.
Difficult? Usually. (development can be).
Worth it? 100%.

There is no #narcissist alive that truly wants the best for others.
Isn't that something?
They only want the best for themselves.

P.S. Meme for illustrative purposes.
"I trust you."
We all have evidence from our lives to justify never trusting anyone ever again.
So extending trust feels dangerous.
Which means:
- Trust is a gift you must choose to give your spouse,
- Not a reward they must work to earn.
Tell your spouse you trust them.
"I support you."
We thrive in environments where we feel supported.
When you know someone has your back, it frees you to grow and take risks.
If your marriage doesn't provide it,
Your spouse will find somewhere (or someone) that does.
Tell your spouse you're there for them.
"I love coming home to you."
Life pulls you away from your spouse.
Work, kids, and community involvement are all good things...
That can be hell on your marriage.
When you come back together, make it matter.
Tell your spouse you can't wait to be back with them.
