BREAKING - 27 people were taken to hospital following tonight’s incident. 20 others were treated at the scene. Four involved were children. The injuries of two people, including one child, are said to be serious. @LivEchonews
We are in direct contact with Merseyside Police regarding the incident on Water Street which happened towards the end of the trophy parade earlier this evening.
Our thoughts and prayers are with those who have been affected by this serious incident.
We will continue to offer our full support to the emergency services and local authorities who are dealing with this incident.
I understand why this is being done, and it's probably for the best overall, but the fact that there's a need to release details of the race and nationality of a suspect in custody to prevent the outbreak of racist disorder is extremely depressing.
