FOR THE URGENT ATTENTION OF @inecnigeria BILATERAL PARTNERS, INTERNATIONAL ELECTION OBSERVER MISSIONS, GLOBAL CIVIC WATCHDOGS, AND THE WORLDWIDE PRESS
SUBJECT: EVIDENCE OF SYNTHETIC AI-GENERATED VOTERS AND SYSTEMIC REGISTER CONTAMINATION DEMANDING AN INDEPENDENT THIRD-PARTY AUDIT
@IFES1987@Microsoft@Meta@Google@Risenetworks@FCDOGovUK@UNDP@IECSouthAfrica@USAID@macfound
This is an urgent alert to the international community regarding a profound compromise in the data integrity and biometric security of Nigeria’s National Register of Voters, maintained by the Independent National Electoral Commission (@inecnigeria).
Recent public scrutiny of the online preliminary register has exposed evidence that the database has been systematically populated with synthetic, AI-generated identities, duplicate profiles, and invalid entries.
CRITICAL EVIDENCE OF COMPROMISE
• Synthetic Media Injection: Widespread instances of suspected AI-generated voter photographs displaying distinct digital artifacts (such as asymmetrical facial rendering and generative background blurring) typical of GAN (Generative Adversarial Network) software.
• Algorithmic Failure & Identity Duplication: Pervasive multiple registrations using identical National Identification Numbers (NINs) and matching facial templates assigned to entirely different names and demographics.
• Localized Database Inflation: Documented clusters of these anomalies—notably flagged in Ward 11, Uzuaire South East, Edo State—indicating localized patterns of voter roll inflation via "ghost voters" to distort democratic outcomes.
THE POLICY CONTRADICTION
While INEC leadership has publicly acknowledged the external threats of AI and announced an internal AI unit within its ICT Directorate to cleanse discrepancies ahead of the 2027 general elections, the visibility of these blatant flaws on the public portal proves that internal remediation is insufficient, non-transparent, and lacks rigorous oversight. Furthermore, the exploitation of duplicate NINs represents a severe breach of citizen data privacy under the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023.
International funding, technical assistance, and diplomatic cooperation must not be weaponised to legitimise a structurally flawed foundation.
URGENT MANDATES FOR ACTION
In light of this threat to democratic integrity, we call upon international stakeholders and local watchdogs to enforce the following measures:
1. Independent Third-Party Audit: Demand an immediate, comprehensive forensic audit of the 103-million-strong National Register of Voters by an uncompromised, external digital forensics firm.
2. Conditional Technical Assistance: International donor agencies (including USAID, FCDO, and UNDP) must condition all future electoral funding, capacity-building grants, and infrastructure aid on absolute data transparency and verifiable deduplication.
3. Algorithmic Verification: Call upon global technology partners to provide independent verification tools to evaluate the scope of synthetic media injection within the database.
4. Transparent Audit Trails: Compel INEC to produce a clear, publicly accessible audit trail of the automated Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) portal and issue regular, verifiable progress reports on database cleanup operations.
The integrity of any future election rests entirely on the integrity of the register. The global community must demand accountability before the democratic process is fundamentally undermined.

Dear @inecnigeria, why is my name missing from the newly released online voter register when I have my registration renewal receipt and all the evidence of completing the process?
My VIN confirms my polling unit, yet my name is nowhere to be found.
Many Nigerians are raising similar concerns. INEC, explain what happened and urgently resolve this issue.
Public confidence in your credibility is already under serious strain. Publish my name or give me a clear explanation. If this is not addressed, I will pursue legal action to protect my voting rights.
Is that understood?
I know many business owners who have had to shut down because they can no longer keep up with the rising cost of petrol in Nigeria. The APC government is making life increasingly difficult for Nigerians. Idris is right.
“If I become the President of Nigeria, I will put an end to election rigging. Anyone who forges certificates or any INEC official involved in election rigging will be sent to prison immediately.”
- NDC presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi, speaks today in Kogi State.
I am deeply honored and grateful for my appointment as the NDC National Campaign Council Director of Welfare.
Thank you for this opportunity to serve. I remain dedicated to our shared vision and committed to giving my best in service to the people.
Let’s do this! 🎉👏
TINUBU MUST EXPLAIN LUXURY SUV GIFTS TO APC YOUTHS WHILE NIGERIANS GO HUNGRY — ATIKU.
Former Vice President and African Democratic Congress presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar has accused President Bola Tinubu of presiding over a grotesque spectacle of executive excess: the reported distribution of 2026 model luxury SUVs, each worth more than ₦150 million, to APC youth leaders while millions of Nigerians are crushed by hunger and soaring costs.
Atiku said it was a brazen insult to ask Nigerians to endure hardship while party loyalists receive vehicles worth a fortune. He demanded an immediate public explanation from President Tinubu and the Presidency: who is paying for these SUVs, and why is such lavish political spending taking place while ordinary families struggle to afford food and transport?
In a statement issued by Phrank Shaibu, Director of Strategic Communication of the ADC Presidential Campaign Council, Atiku said:
"The APC National Youth Leader says these vehicles were donated by First Lady Oluremi Tinubu. Nigerians deserve to know where the money came from to buy and distribute so many 2026 model SUVs, each worth more than ₦150 million, for political mobilisation.
"The First Lady holds no elected or executive office. She is only a domestic appendage of the office of President. Were these vehicles bought with her personal funds, donations or public resources? Who paid for them? What was the total cost? The Presidency must provide a clear account. Nigerians cannot be expected to accept a fleet of extraordinarily expensive vehicles for party loyalists without knowing who financed them.
"At a time families cannot afford food, transport and other basic necessities, these gifts are a brazen insult to the people. The government has found a way to provide luxury SUVs for APC youth leaders, yet millions of Nigerians are still waiting for meaningful relief from the cost of living crisis. This is not merely a question of misplaced priorities. It is one of the most outlandish displays of executive recklessness in our history.
"First, APC women leaders reportedly received luxury vehicles. Now, according to the National Youth Leader, APC youth leaders are receiving SUVs from the First Lady. The earlier gifts came on the eve of the abduction of schoolchildren in Oyo State. Now another lavish round of political giving is taking place while Nigerians face hunger, insecurity and hardship.
"While Nigerians continue to ask where the savings from subsidy removal have gone, the Presidency must explain how such costly gifts are being funded. If the vehicles were paid for privately, the source of the funds should be disclosed. If public resources were used, the government must identify who authorised the spending and under what legal authority.
"The scale of these gifts raises grave questions about whether our collective patrimony is being diverted to buy political loyalty. Nigeria cannot be run as a captured state, where wealth and influence serve the powerful while ordinary citizens are left to struggle.
"The same youth leader who made the gifts public is reportedly travelling by private jet. That image of extraordinary privilege stands in jarring contrast to the hardship facing ordinary Nigerians. The Presidency must stop treating questions about wealth and spending as an inconvenience. Nigerians have a right to ask where the money came from.
"Nor is this culture of privilege confined to party officials; it reaches the very household of the President. His own son, Mr Seyi Tinubu, has been pictured, in widely circulated images, wearing a Richard Mille RM 67-02 Sébastien Ogier, a timepiece that sells for close to half a million dollars ($500k), while the same government asks ordinary Nigerians to endure hardship, tighten their belts and wait patiently for relief that never seems to arrive.
“They bought campaign buses and jeeps but forgot to buy ambulances. Now that an acc!dent has happened, how will they transport the victims to the hospital?”
— Isaac Fayose reacts to a video showing a Tinubu campaign bus involved in an acc!dent.
For Those Harassing Our Supporters, Innocent Nigerians Who Want Food, Humility and Civility are Not Weaknesses; They are Virtues. Nobody Has the Monopoly of Rascality - Obi
Good behaviour is not weakness; it is a virtue. I am warning and pleading with everybody. Enough is Enough.
