Bring back culture critics but in long-form content. I still do love a good video pod like the Joe Budden show but there’s a difference between culture commentators and culture critics…too many are scared to be the latter.
@litbihhgab@HenriettaSnacks@Coutorce Again, n*gga did NOT derive from negro. It derived from n*gger….
Negro means black in Spanish. Do yall have another word for black as in the color? If not, then again you know those words aren't synonymous to each other.
@litbihhgab@Coutorce@HenriettaSnacks and ultimately, this is where my words are coming from. Education is key. And pride myself in learning about different cultures to understand the nuances like this very topic.
@litbihhgab@Coutorce@HenriettaSnacks Being that I live in an area that is in close proximit to an Hispanic dominated area, I understand that your community has challenges similar to AAs that I empathize with.
I contribute by shopping local and buying from small biz. I think we all need to just be respectful.
@litbihhgab@HenriettaSnacks@Coutorce Negro evolved to N*gger which is what you're referring to. Negro is a Spanish word BUT we’re not talking about that word. We are talking specifically about N*GGA. Again, an exclusive word to African Americans which is a colloquial term to…you guessed it the AA ethnic group.
@litbihhgab@HenriettaSnacks@Coutorce This what aggravates me. You know damn well every black group doesn't have the same history. Ppl just made the distinction earlier in the thread that all Latinx people aren't the same. Just like Latinx people aren't all the same, all black people don't have the same history.
