Pilar Sanders told a court Deion Sanders was worth $250 million. Her prenup capped her at $1 million.
The agreement was signed on April 19, 1999. They married two days later.
The terms: $100,000 for each year of marriage, capped at $1 million. Her own lawyer from 1999 testified she also received a $100,000 "signing bonus" to sign it.
Deion filed for divorce in December 2011, after 12 years and three children.
The court record:
$24,000 a month in payments was what she asked for.
$10,500 a month in child support plus $275,000 for her lawyers was what a judge ordered in May 2012.
The child support was later cut to $2,500, then raised to $4,500.
On October 24, 2012, Judge Ray Wheless ruled she signed the prenup voluntarily and told her lawyers not to bring the claim again.
In March 2013, an arbitrator confirmed both of them signed it.
On March 12, 2013, a jury voted 11 to 1 to give Deion sole conservatorship of their two sons.
Her lawyers said parts of the prenup were forged, two pages were missing, and she signed under pressure. They wanted a handwriting expert to examine the original.
When she put his net worth at $250 million in court, Deion laughed out loud. By then a judge had ordered her to stay 500 yards away from the house she had lived in.
The case for Deion: she signed it, took the $100,000, and a judge and an arbitrator both upheld it. "This is greed. That's all it is," he said at the 2012 hearing. In 2013 he said, "It's not about the kids. It's about the money."
The case for Pilar: 12 years, three children, and a fixed $1 million against a fortune she estimated at $250 million, set two days before the wedding.
In the video below, in April 2012, she says: "I understand that I have very little chance at beating a Hall of Fame, two-sport man that everyone seems to love and adore."
Should a prenup signed two days before the wedding still hold after 12 years and three children?

NEVER FORGET WHAT THEY DID TO FANNIE LOU HAMER.
In 1963, Fannie Lou Hamer was arrested in Winona, Mississippi, after helping Black Americans register to vote. While in custody, she was brutally beaten by police and other prisoners under their direction. The injuries left her with lasting physical damage.
Her crime? Demanding a right that America claimed its citizens already had.
Hamer was a sharecropper who understood that the right to vote was about far more than casting a ballot. It was about having a voice in a country that had spent generations trying to keep Black people powerless.
They threatened her. They attacked her. They tried to make an example of her.
But she refused to be silent.
She went on to challenge the political system that excluded Black Americans, speaking before the nation at the 1964 Democratic National Convention and exposing the violence and discrimination Black voters faced in Mississippi.
Fannie Lou Hamer's story is a reminder that many of the rights people take for granted today were secured by people who paid an extraordinary price to demand them.
They wanted her to be afraid. Instead, she made America listen. History must never forget her name.
To keep these stories alive, we have uncovered and documented crimes against Black people that have remained unanswered.
