I canโt help but see the British preoccupation with โoverdiagnosisโ as the flailing of a culture that has given up on the clinical mission of addressing the full spectrum of human distress and disability, because they think they canโt afford to provide the needed care (scarcity), because some people ought to suffer (stoicism), and because some people are only pretending to suffer (malingering).

5 june, new hawthorn saping i planted . a bit worried it wont last bc out of the four saplings i bought 2 were already ailing from some kind of fungal infection when i got them & arent improving any . i rly hope this one survives at least :/

like i see what u mean but also i think some of u guys are maybe not quite Getting the reason why addicts in recovery like doing Bits about addiction . like its so bad but so ridiculous a thing to suffer endlessly repeatedly almost die from. to survive after u gotta make it Funny
@YungL1917 they only arrived last wk, its a sort of white powdery mildew over the leaves visible on 2 out of 4 when i unpacked them but worsened & the others now also even tho i potted all up & moved them apart. on the sickest ones the leaves r dying back now. have blitzed them w antifungal
@jdhughez@dvdpeters forgive us , + some harm is just irreparable ). but it is important 2 appreciate almost all addicts esp of the more extreme kind have underlying untreated mental illness, ptsd/cptsd, etc (all of whch substance use exacerbates bt we usually first use in an attempt 2 self medicate)
