Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set to address the UN General Assembly in New York on Thursday, in a lightning visit expected to last only hours before he flies straight back to Israel.

His message is expected to be confrontational: defend Israel’s conduct of the war, remind the world what happened on October 7, and challenge the accusations being leveled against Israel. Netanyahu has already said he intends to “tell the truth” about Israel and the IDF from the UN podium.

He is also expected to address Iran and directly confront New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani, who has called him a war criminal and backed efforts to have him arrested under the ICC warrant.

For the last 20–30 years, Qatar, Russia and China have been playing a completely different game.

Buying media. Buying influence. Funding institutions. Influencing politicians. Shaping narratives.

We know why Qatar does it.

For Qatar, this is ideological. Muslim Brotherhood ideology. Support for Hamas. A worldview in which the West, the “infidel” world, is something ultimately to be transformed and dominated.

But why Russia? Why China?

Why did China build TikTok into a platform sitting in the hands of practically every young person in the West?

Why has Russia invested so heavily in narrative warfare?

Because they figured something out.

You don’t have to defeat the West militarily if you can convince the West to destroy itself.

Find the strongest wedge issues. Find the issues that divide people by race, religion, identity, immigration, class and politics, then amplify them relentlessly.

Israel and the Jews became one of the most effective wedges.

Not because China or Russia necessarily care about Israel. They care about destabilizing the West.

And now we are watching the results in real time.

People trust media institutions that have been manipulated.

They trust algorithms they don’t understand.

They trust viral videos because millions of people watched them.

They trust politicians repeating narratives they themselves absorbed from the same information ecosystem.

They are told mass immigration is unquestionably positive.

They are told questioning what is happening inside their own societies is racist.

They are told not to believe what they can see with their own eyes.

And the victims are ordinary people in the West, especially younger generations who have spent their entire lives inside this information environment.

The West has been played.

This may be the most successful psychological operation ever carried out:

Not convincing Westerners to love China, Russia or Qatar.
