This is why I changed who I'm surrounded by. It's very sad to lose people I care very much about, but if they don't care then I can't force them. I'll hang with people who do care and be all the better for it.
A new COVID-19 antiviral called Xocova (ensitrelvir) will soon be available in the U.S., the first approved as post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP). But its impact will hinge on how easily people can access it.

@kenklippenstein@mrpxssy This isn’t the first time Food Not Bombs volunteers and our friends have been setup by the FBI on false terrorist charges but the longest has been 19 years when Eric McDavid was framed.
wanted to cross post another tweet i did,
two of the prairie land defendants are trans women. they are being held in "men's" prisons, and they are being denied HRT.
they are being railroaded on charges they never did (they were not present when the shots were fired)
“During the 1980s, AIDS deniers promoted homophobic ideas that the disease was caused by lifestyle choices or spiritual malaise. With Long Covid, skeptics promote lifestyle judgments around exercise and mental health.”
the terrorist “organization” in question? antifa, which literally just means being against fascism, and is not an organization of any kind. the government convicted people of materially supporting….a vibe. an ideology
more people should take note of what happened here. Theyve set a legal precedent for criminalizing organizing by criminalizing literature.
You can get 30 years for a box of zines or pamphlets
i don't know how you're not supposed to feel sick to your stomach over the fact that the police rammed his van twice, shot at it 27 times, and watched as he burned and bled to death because they thought two black men were inside.
they killed a white navy vet and lied about it.
@theintercept thing is.. even if it had been the RIGHT man, execution without trial should NOT be in their scope, right? Why are we giving the absolute worst among us the power to kill at whim?
@theintercept I can't stress this enough:
a very high % of police are full-blown Primary Psych(o)paths.
>20% and far more in certain units/teams.
They're essentially dangerous, predatory, prolific offenders & organised crime.
@theintercept Repeal "qualified immunity" for police. Make them civilly liable. As long as police are immune, the jurisdictions they serve pay the multi million dollar civil judgments. Mandate the payments come from the officers or police pension funds. We'll see a dramatic change of behavior.
Kohen's mother has requested that people stop sharing his pictures, and share the photos of the man who murdered her child so he and the police department that hired him, and Walmart and its racist management face the ridicule and judgment they deserve.
a Black woman couldn’t even celebrate the knicks win in the comfort of her own home without her neighbor calling the cops on her, and they killed her dog.
