@MatthewCartz@DanJamesRacing Yeah, especially el cairos. Especially at the speed they’ll go at Chelts. He doesn’t seem to have figured out what to do when going full speed at hurdles yet 🫠
@onTheNod11@DanJamesRacing If he has gears he would have properly quickened away by a couple lengths - he just stays on better at the one pace when the rest are tiring.
We’ll see how it plays out at Chelts anyhow- but for me he doesn’t have them like el Cairo’s sheer speed or OPS
@OMagicGuru This is the thing with paolo he isn’t that character- he’s about himself.
I get it, he wants to do well for him- and it shows on the court in his play.
The guy we’re all really relying on is Suggs- he just can’t stay healthy.
@Halligan88 He will go to Chelts fresh- I guess it’ll give him some confidence.
Rather that - than bottom him out/ have a fall at a warm up race than the main event.
@TWEnclosure It does- it just feels kinda flat- we don’t have the monster/ superstar horses that’ll bolt in.
But with that said- there’s favourites/ short prices for some races that are prepped to run their race at Chelts.
I think it’ll be a year of old favourites winning.
@TBJ_Racing GDC- didn’t have a hard race at the DRF- they’re running him to peak at Chelts.
FTF- drf was his gold cup.
Jango- could be the one to beat- given he wasn’t asked for everything at kempton.
Spil tower- needs very soft ground- strongly ran race
Ino- does Chelts wake him up
@DanJamesRacing I don’t think Lulamba has the gears kopek has.
I can imagine Lulamba and kopek going to the last and kopek quickens away.
Anything else doesn’t get close imo
@ConorMcGilligxn They do the same every January….. never gets old does it.
The interesting question for me is how much say Farke is having on transfers - did they identify targets and he just said no to them all bar these ones we moved for - or was it just the receruitment team
