@hainesy 😕 unfortunately not, but create a new user, set them up as limited access to unifi account, but super admin on the controller. We 🙏 that Ubiquiti will change the access rights, and as soon as they do we will adjust to allow it.
@craigd73 oh no @craigd73 - we've just seen your chat ticket and will get back to you on your it@ email.
Thanks for the nice words about out interface on the chat too!
@kaystrobach@tomasnorre@merzilla@wahnsinn Agreed - only way to go. We do UniFi VPS hosting with SSL pre configured and dual backups, because let’s face it we all know the problems you can have from time to time with the mongodb! We also manage the upgrades too :) if locally hosting use @BackiFi
@Snaxmuppet Oh sorry to hear this - it's working so there must be something else causing the break - can you send us an email to [email protected] with some details and we will get back to you as soon as we have investigated
@MoMusician@LinusTech You are missing one important but invisible part of this rack setup. A backup solution for your controller running on the Pi. check our tool out on https://t.co/MpVz3lCAEp
@abuttino1 There are a few risks with on-device/ on-site backup.
Eventually, there is a 100% failure rate of the storage media in the device, theft, fire, corruption, etc.
Cloud storage should be very safe, you should have 2FA on whatever you use like Dropbox, G-Drive, AWS, etc
@danielwithmusic@drwave @ubnt There is a better way... backup your controller automatically to Dropbox, G-Drive, AWS, MS, Backblaze etc.. link in my profile.
