A bonafide 1942 masterpiece by bonafide master Beauford Delaney (1901 - 1979) of the 18-year old James Baldwin.
Delaney was a great painter, an African American, who was known and widely admired in his own lifetime, but who - after moving to Paris in the 1960s - died penniless.
