The fastest way to determine if Asians have assimilated to American culture is to ask them about schooling.
If they don’t realize that America and the West dominated their cultures/countries because of a childhood focus on play rather than memorization then they have not assimilated.
The reason their kids are in a school in Arizona, as opposed to the American kids in an “American School in X” is a lack of appreciation and understanding of this fact.
To the extent that demographics change the school system, like in Palo Alto/Bay Area, for these people, it is for the worse.

@PalmerLuckey Always wondered, why any business leader would pay less to people who work for them (legal off-course). Must be so frustrating to these leaders, wish they could pay everyone 1.5 their current wage .. but just can’t .. awww
@ericweinstein US was forced into science due to external pressure (WW 1-2, Space, Cold War). It made US a scientific powerhouse for over a century. Post Cold War and w/o competition, money disappeared and so did the passion.. we have to wait for an adversary to catch up first, then maybe ..
A vast majority of Silicon Valley companies don’t make a profit (metric is revenue)..with high interest rates.. warm IPO market .. M&A down ...why not save capital by laying off employees and claim AI getting the job done more efficiently.. join them if you can’t beat them
@nntaleb As an Engineer, and as someone who thoroughly disliked the work culture in the company I worked in. I can say 90% of the engineers knew what they were doing…disagree with “any profession”
