When Jesus said “pick up your cross,” He wasn’t talking about carrying a small inconvenience or having a difficult life.
In that time, the cross represented death.
So when Jesus said to pick up your cross daily, He was talking about surrender.
Choosing God’s will over your own.
Dying to pride, selfish desires, and the old way of living.
Following Jesus is not always comfortable.
Sometimes it costs relationships, habits, popularity, or things we want to hold onto.
That’s why Christianity is more than just believing certain things.
It’s a daily decision to follow Christ even when it’s difficult.
Picking up your cross means obedience even when it’s hard.
Trusting God even when you don’t fully understand.
And choosing Him again and again every day.
