Really happy to have been asked to contribute to @BadAncient by answering the question: Did King Tutankhamun own a dagger made from a meteorite? If so, who made it, where did it come from, and why was it buried with him?

We miss one Easter weekend and this nonsense spreads like wildfire! Ishtar has no link, at all, to Easter.
The more you know about Ishtar, or indeed Easter, the more this becomes obvious #BadAncient:

HAPPY EASTER????
Have you been LIED too????
Think TWISE before saying ‘Happy Easter’ this RESURRECTION Sunday!!!
Ishtar: pronounced ‘Easter’
‘Easter’ was originally the celebration of the god Ishtar, the Assyrian and Babylonian goddess of fertility, animal sacrifices, prostitution and sex. Her symbols… the egg and the bunny…
Did you actually think eggs and bunnies had anything to do with Christ’s Resurrection???
After Constantine decided to Christianize the Empire, Easter was changed to represent Jesus. But at its roots, Easter is all about celebrating fertility, animal sacrifices, prostitution and sex.
Be NOT deceived!!!
@baccapish Why moan about translations, then give the English selectively? He mentions Plutarch but not his description of Agesilaus and Lysander's relationship: ἐραστὴς τοῦ Ἀγησιλάου γγονὼς ὁ Λύσανδρος (Life of Lysander 22.3; see also Life of Agesilaus 2.1)? Odd.
Where to begin?? There are two big issues here:
1. The Spartans did embrace homosexual/homoerotic relationships.
2. Leonidas' side lost. His stand was unsuccessful and the Persians swept through northern and central Greece. #BadAncient

Pretty big news, yes, but to clarify, this is NOT "the first pharaoh's tomb discovered in Egypt since Tutankhamun's." It is, though, the first such royal tomb to be discovered in the vicinity of the Valley of the Kings since Carter discovered Tut’s tomb.
It is a fan-made poster from Reddit. Just someone having fun and getting excited about the new film coming out. The person is also getting corrected about the misused Greek alphabet in the forum. 5/5
We saw a lot of people reposting this image, which looks like a poorly thought through advert for the new film version of the Odyssey. But, as has since become apparent, it was not an authentic film poster, so let's do a quick thread on how to check. 1/5

@amayor@fakehistoryhunt One to watch and see if the idea spreads quickly - we could use it as a case study for #BadAncient ideas and their spread via AI! It is horrifically terrible.
Less than a month to go before the release of @reeshistory's revelatory book The Far Edges of the Known World!
