Against a team which Bernal was hiding from the ball as usual and Gavi was treating the ball like a bomb, here is De Jong against the same team, participating in build up, bypassing pressing, and dictating play. Yet some low IQ Barça fans want this guy sold for those scrubs.
@barcastuff_idn its oke itu hak dia juga buat berjuang kasih yg terbaik untuk posisi lb selagi pihak klub belum bilang kalo dia ga di andalkan, toh kalo klub udah bilang dia ga masuk rencana dia pun terbuka buat cari jalan keluar, yg terbaik aja pokoknya buat balde
Frenkie wasn’t there when we needed him the most last season.”
But was Raphinha there? He also got injured at a crucial point when we needed him the most. Frenkie was one of our best players last season, and there were games we won because of his performances. Even Pedri had periods where he wasn’t at his best, but Frenkie stepped up and helped us win important games.
Yet somehow, people forget all of that so easily. I don’t blame the fans — I blame Gerard Romero. 😭
It's really disappointing to see some fans boo Frenkie de Jong during his presentation. Yes, a large section also chanted his name, but there was absolutely no need for the boos.
And based on what? A journalist claimed he refused to start a month after the Atleti match, something Frenkie himself denied, while the coach has publicly backed him. The club even gave him a nine-minute interview on its official channels to address the situation. If they genuinely considered him at fault, why would they do that?
Whatever your opinion, every player wearing this shield deserves respect. Booing one player out of 25 only ruins the atmosphere and serves absolutely no purpose. #fcblive
'If Flick likes De Jong, why sign Rodri?'
That's a dumb question. The real question is: if Flick really trusted Gavi, Bernal, and Casadó, why would he need Rodri while De Jong is out?
Flick knows that with De Jong sidelined for six months, the backups aren't good enough to fill that void. When De Jong returns, he'll compete with Rodri and stay ahead of Gavi and Bernal.
🚨🎙️| Flick: "My relationship with Frenkie is very good. He's always very committed and a professional player, and we have an excellent relationship. I talk to him all the time, especially about what's happening around the team and also about the next match. We talk a lot. For me, he's an important player because he has a lot of potential to offer the team, and that's what I want to see from him." #fcblive ❤️
