@iamHBY Well that’s a different convo, that’s research/realtime use. I have an attorney and still used it to save money in terms of billing hours and you still need to find a way to learn the legal side even it’s to be able to communicate with an attorney and it can help you do that
Great advice, Id go even further, if you can’t find a legal rep, use Chat GPT assuming most young artist won’t have legal rep and would probably need the money being offered.
If you’re presented with a deal, hire a lawyer. If you don’t have a lawyer, never accept one offered to you by the label. They won’t be impartial. Once you find independent legal counsel, have them explain the terms of the contract in plain English. Never accept the first offer.
@iamHBY If they don’t have legal rep which most won’t. You have artist using Chat gpt after getting into bad deals, you tell me which one makes sense, before or after? 🤔
@cremieuxrecueil I think AI is already fixing this with contracts, at least in my industry (music). Hope to see more of this as I think the more people can understand whats being negotiated, the more incentives to propose fair deals.
@lindaxie Currently reading Isaac Asimov understanding physics , so I can relate to this. Also turning 32 in August and feels comforting to know more about the world.
