SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH has been issued for most of the state until 7pm.
Damaging wind gusts up to 75mph, hail up to 2” in diameter, and a couple tornadoes will be possible with storms this afternoon.
Growing increasingly concerned about intense severe weather impacting southern WI during peak heating Wed. afternoon. AM storms stay well north (hail threat) with storms rapidly firing in the afternoon. Tornadoes, large hail, and damaging straight-line winds are all on the table.
8:50pm Tues. 6/9: New data coming in and it isn't good. Please have a severe weather plan in place starting late morning on Wednesday, Wednesday afternoon, Wednesday night and midday/afternoon on Thursday into the evening. Several rounds expected. Standby for a comprehensive post.

Should be a fun day at AmFam!
No doubt in my mind a tornado-driven moderate gets issued this morning for eastern Iowa, far northern Illinois, and southern Wisconsin. This could be a very dangerous day ahead. #ilwx
Tuesday: Scattered Severe Thunderstorms are likely Tuesday evening across northern Illinois with an all hazard risk!
- A few morning storms are possible overnight into the morning on Tuesday but overall most areas should be dry. We will rapidly destabilize and heat up tomorrow. The cap will break around 4-6pm and storms will explode across Iowa and northwest Illinois to start. As the evening progresses, storms will move east across northern Illinois into Chicagoland around 7-9pm. Storms will exit Illinois around/after midnight.
- Hazards will include isolated tornadoes, some may be strong (up to EF-2 strength) along with up to baseball size hail and significant damaging wind gusts. These storms will have a ton of energy to produce very large hail and damaging wind gusts so be prepared if you have any evening plans tomorrow. #ilwx
Appreciate everyone asking about my health these last few days. Nasty stomach bug ripped through me. Resting up but am so thankful for @JoshMaurerPxP stepping up in the clutch and @lanegrindle riding solo on the radio for the last three days. Best teammates in the game
This is absolutely beautiful. Not just Christian Yelich's clutch bomb but the camera crew catching the fan reactions and @JLevering4's call. Well done by the @Brewers and their TV network. Good to see they still have talented folks doing the broadcasts.
