@b_schneids His record looks good because he's had elite defenses, which is credit to Aranda/Wilcox/Leonhard. He's an offensive coach who can't manage a game, clock and is underachieving with a very talented offense.
Paul Chryst might want to consider hiring someone to help him manage the game. Let him focus on what he does best- Game planning and offensive play calling. Let someone else make 4th-down/time management calls.
Imagine watching today's game and thinking Jim Leonhard and the defense are the problem. Wisconsin's offense/special teams handed them 24 points. Defense has played hard down both safeties.
Does anyone really think the offense wouldn't look better with Hornibrook? Alex has always been excellent against limited pressure/stacked boxes, which is what NW is doing. He struggles against consistent pass rush, like UM and OSU.
@SmithPeterG I think the basketball team should be a lot better this year. Team came on strong at the end of last year, and adding King, Trice, and Anderson should help.
Wisconsin's defense comes up with the stop again after being out in a tough spot. Two Jonathan Taylor fumbles have led to 10 NW points. The roughing the punter led to another 7. I feel bad for this defense.
This defense is young, inexperienced, and banged up, but still battling their hearts out. Meanwhile, the experienced, talented offense continues to sleepwalk and put them in terrible positions.
I love Paul Chryst as much as anyone. The guy is a Badger through and through. But some of the decisions he makes are absolutely maddening. His lack of aggressiveness is costing them games.
Even if we had beaten BYU and Michigan, I'd still be terrified about Northwestern. Weird stuff always seems to happen in Evanston during these morning games.
@Jason_Galloway Hornibrook was terrible. Chryst called a terrible game. Young players on defense showed promise, but offense couldn't keep them off the field.
