Coaches: kids do not need 3 hr sessions for technique at clinics. It’s ridiculously unproductive and boring. 2 hours is plenty. More does not mean better.

Less moves and less mat time is more productive than too many moves and too much mat time.

So many things I have loved about this week so far that have nothing to do with where he placed:

- watching his brother and dad in the corner and all their emotions
- Hayden showing emotion.
- seeing past and present UNI alum of ours coming to watch mat-side
-having the opportunity to capture these moments ( there may be a few blurry ones)
- the journey (although not always fun) to get here.
- the culture that has been built at IAWC- watching his teammates run out or stand in a corner - even when it means they will wrestle one another.
- our wrestling family in general- and all of you who have cheered us on through all the stages so far- THANK YOU
