It’s hard out here being a Caitlin Clark fan who isn’t insane or a thinly-veiled bigot because you might want to say normal stuff like “I don’t think she should get choked slammed” but then it looks like you’re standing with these racist hacks.
I’m the Democrat running against Dolezal in the general election for Lieutenant Governor of Georgia. He is an election denier and must be stopped. My website is https://t.co/EOITI6EfGJ - would love to have you on the team.
I’m tired of Palestine being used to erase every other misdeed once someone with a platform says anything for us. Our liberation is intertwined because the forces oppressing us are also intertwined. The genocide is ongoing. What are we doing to win against those in power perpetuating it WITHOUT bringing worse people in? Twitter fights aren’t going to make that happen.
All this to say, I think people are misunderstanding how broad coalitions work. In Georgia, we work with Republicans since we’re in the minority. You don’t see me constantly amplifying them and singing their praises *especially* when our own people are doing the work. In an attention economy within siloed algorithms, we have an obligation to be clear who we condemn and why, AND who we amplify to our audiences. Because I promise you the majority of voters don’t see this back and forth.
There was a lot of *discourse* this weekend, but I want to talk about this for a second.
First, thank you @AOC and team. I can’t say it enough. For almost two years, I’ve been reaching out to every person who connected with us during the DNC asking them to come to Georgia and listen to Georgians about what’s happening here. AOC is the first person to answer that call. Her first visit spanned multiple days and most of it was private meetings with Georgians impacted by harmful policies we are fighting everyday to overturn. Too many have used us as a backdrop and nothing else.
Honest to god give Bronny the LaRavia minutes.
LaRavia has arguably been the single worst player this postseason.
Just utterly petrified of the moment. Totally brutal minutes every time.
Zohran has internalized a rule of politics too many Dems have forgotten: You can’t assume people know about the good things you’re doing! You have to tell them about it, over and over again.
Rev. Jesse Jackson was a giant of the Civil Rights Movement. His dedication to fighting for racial justice and dignity for working people shaped the moral arc of our nation.
As we mourn his life, we must carry his light forward and work to keep hope alive. May he rest in peace.
A “fake American citizen?”
Didn’t you MOVE to Puerto Rico to avoid paying your taxes while kids across America go hungry?
Meanwhile Benito actually funds low income kids’ access to arts and sports programs, while you defund them.
Of course you’re mad. He makes you look small.
The argument that candidates should only campaign on stuff that is broadly popular is challenged (once again!) by the existence of events that change public opinion.
