Without VVPAT, election results declared by EC must be accepted as final as they can't be re-counted. Jamilur Reza Chowdhury refused to endorse the purchase of EVM without VVPAT. Indian SC ordered the addition of VVPAT in their EVM. Why is our EC again buying EVM without VVPAT?

EC seeking authority to cancel election results. Per Noor Hossain v Nazrul Islam [45 BLC(AD)2000], EC already has that authority in case of allegations of rigged and unjust elections and it can also order re-polling. We are confused by EC's actions.
