@ecfindia This sounds great! Adolescence is a delicate & vulnerable stage, early awareness and education can help them deal better with the changing social scenarios in their lives! #ConsentSeRishta
Communicating promptly; working on both ends of comfortably saying ‘no’ & respectfully accepting that ‘no’; habituating to consenting & boundary-setting as relations shape; reaching out to a counselor if needed; can be some strategies for a healthy relationship. #ConsentSeRishta
1. Teach by example, children are great at observant learning. 2. Consent and boundaries as important values need to be taught at an appropriate age. 3. Practice makes perfect! Consenting is a habit, appreciating when a child practices it, is reassuring! #ConsentSeRishta
Our mentors teach consent and respect by integrating these principles into session activities. For instance, the mentor might allow the participants to choose co-partners for a group activity and encourage them to ask, “Would you like to work together?”
No individual is perfect and no relationship ideal! We all evolve in coherence. Being supported and reinforced helps in coping with undesirable behaviors & bettering oneself. It benefits by creating an emotionally intimate space to share, trust & work on issues. #ConsentSeRishta
@ecfindia Consent and boundaries are invisible pillars supporting a relationship. Early child education, building safe spaces for discussions, respecting privacy, responsible rehabilitation, and/or therapy for those in need are a few ways of encouraging practicing consent & boundaries.

Often in Asian cultures that promote collectivism, creating boundaries can be a difficult concept leading to emotional fatigue, but setting conscient boundaries helps in appreciating individual differences, reducing misunderstandings, bringing peace and respect in relations.
