In Dholpur, a sanitary pad vending machine did more than provide access-it sparked curiosity, smiles, and conversation. Sometimes change begins quietly, making menstruation a little less taboo and a little more normal. 🌸

Pinkishe Foundation has launched an info page for its proposed ZCZP issue on the NSE Social Stock Exchange to build school-based menstrual health systems across 100 govt schools in Sarangarh, Chhattisgarh. Please connect us with relevant funders/CSR leaders.

During our visit to Dholpur for Shakti Shala, supported by HDFC Bank under the Parivartan Small Grants Program and anchored by BharatCares, we saw how old spaces are becoming libraries and learning hubs and shaping aspirations and access to learning.

Proud to partner with the Indian Army to support menstrual hygiene for women in the remote areas of Kupwara.
In regions where snow blocks access, such health camps help reach communities that are often left behind.

“Thank You for Arguing” turned out to be the perfect gift during our Dholpur visit. Thoughtful conversations with Mr. Nivrutti Avhad, IAS, reminded me that meaningful debate, openness, and collaboration are essential in building stronger communities and a better India.

Something unusual is coming up in one of Gurugram's busiest underpasses.
Every day, thousands of people cross this road, and soon, they'll also cross conversations that society has avoided for generations.

At a wedding, Neetu got her first period. But she stayed calm, because she had learned about menstruation in a school session. She even corrected her mother on proper pad disposal. This is the power of menstrual education: replacing fear with confidence.

Pinkishe volunteers reached a Gurgaon community for a menstrual education session, only to realise the women spoke Bengali. A woman offered to translate. Soon the room filled with conversations on periods and hygiene. Even when plans fail, the mission continues.

During a menstrual health session, a volunteer found used pads hidden in corners. The girl whispered, “I didn’t know what to do.” Her mother said, “Mujhe hi nahi pata.” Silence passes through generations. Pinkishe works to replace silence with dignity. #PinkisheFoundation
Every month, the register showed the same gaps.
In Udham Singh Nagar, periods were quietly taking girls out of classrooms.
Through patient sessions on hygiene and pain management, educators changed that pattern-until one girl said, “Ab hume school aane mein darr nahi lagta.”
January reviews lead to a familiar March worry- funding gaps. CSR funds must be used by 31st March, but money often reaches NGOs only by May/June. Work doesn’t stop, people absorb the gap. Impact doesn’t reset on 31st March.

A quiet fight. Tarannum bought groceries and asked for pads. The shopkeeper wrapped them in newspaper, hid them in a black bag-away from food. Nothing illegal, just normalised shame. If pads can’t sit with wheat, what does that say about menstruation?

Grateful to receive the Sampark Saathi Award 2025 from Flipkart Foundation for Project Udaan.
More than outcomes, it helped shape how we approach menstrual health work, partnerships, and on-ground execution.

Leadership in the social sector is often lonely. Behind impact and passion lie burnout, pressure, and unseen exhaustion. Those who serve others forget to care for themselves. If you’re a social worker, leader, or volunteer feeling tired-you’re not alone.
