Hinduism is rich in festivals that ritualise individual family relationship, not merely “family” generally, but husband–wife, brother–sister, and other specific bonds.

The FIR against Ajeet Bharti is a complete misuse of the draconian SC/ST Act. Any law that speaks in favour of one section while having no reciprocal safeguards for others is inherently flawed and discriminatory.
But since this law exists and is being used, Ajeet has not crossed limits laid down in the act. He has not used any so-called abusive or banned words against a community or caste in general. Maybe he abused against an individual from that section, but that was an exchange of abuses. He returned them, he did not initiate them.
And also since Jantar Mantar protest you can abuse PM, his late mother but not to a person who provoked you because you belong to UC

Which profession is hardest for a foreign-trained professional to enter and practice in the West?

Answer: Medicine. Why? Common sense. You simply can't entrust the lives and health of your citizens to someone whose training and competence haven't been thoroughly tested. That's why the West has a rigorous, multi-stage licensing process, followed by demanding residency requirements before a foreign-trained doctor can practice independently.

Compare that to India. We have people scoring minus 40 marks who should ideally be banned from ever appearing for medical entrance exams, yet are currently becoming doctors. A profession that deals with life and death, have lowest margin of error, and therefore should demand the highest level of competency, has become one of the biggest laboratories for affirmative action. Really sad state of affairs.

If a politician from a reserved category has assets, wealth or income well above a reasonable middle class threshold, can they still keep contesting elections in the name of them being “Vanchit, Shoshit, Pichda, Ati Pichda”?

Why not let someone genuinely disadvantaged from the same reserved category get that opportunity to fight elections instead ?

Can't these wealthy politicians make at least this much sacrifice for their own community?

He is the son of a nine-time MP and a three-time MP himself. How much more empowerment does he need?

He has wealth, power, and political clout, so why does he continue to contest from reserved seats? Why not fight from an open seat? By monopolizing a reserved constituency, isn't he actively preventing a less privileged Dalit brother or sister from his party from entering Parliament?

And he isn't alone. There are many like him in every field. This argument is not a conspiracy by the GCs; they gain nothing either way. It is a question of internal accountability. Your own influential elites are holding the broader community back by refusing to step aside. So Dalits should start asking questions about where the real issue lies, instead of blaming GCs for their lack of opportunities.
