Olamide has attained the “god” status in the music industry. Man has been consistent; no bad vibes, no drama, no beef, just good music and lifting young talents up. 👏🏼
It is our fundamental human right to express our displeasure with the state of the nation. If we cannot exercise this right, why are we human?
So if you’re seeing this, in whatever way you can, join us in peaceful protest
It’s either you stand up to speak up or you just shut up
What then do we ought to do on a day of reflection like this? Voice our concerns.
We have looked to the left where nothing is right, we have looked to the right where nothing is left, now we are looking forward and demanding that democracy be practiced as it ought to be.
However, what we have in Nigeria today is a system of government where the leaders represent their own interests and those of “their own people”
We have a government of the leaders, by the leaders, for the leaders.
We have a system where certain people are above the law.
A day where we’re meant to celebrate a government of the people, by the people, for the people.
A day to reflect on our journey so far since independence and audit the progress we have made while practicing this system of government.
A day to remember the rule of law.
To those asking what we’re protesting today, here’s an answer. #June12thProtest
Today is Democracy Day, a day where we’re meant to be celebrating a system of government where the leaders represent the interests of the people.

Young Nigerians came out to beg to stop being killed and harassed by the Nigerian police. Yet our president chose to read it as a campaign to remove him from office. No wonder they were closing bank accounts and seizing passports instead of listening. #KeepitOn
Let’s be clear. This is an attack on freedom. Finding workarounds (like VPN) is exactly how we excused other failures of government by using generators, boreholes & security guards. If they get away with eroding a freedom, they always come for other freedoms. #TwitterbaninNigeria
"We move" is not proper mental health therapy. Sometimes you have to deal with the issues.
But then again, how many Nigerians have access to mental health care and can afford it?
So "We move" is the only strategy they have.
