It’s now 2024, so I’m gonna do a self-fellating thread about the 15 best movies I saw last year.
But first some runners up.
Godzilla Minus One (2023, Yamasaki)
T2 (1991, Cameron)
Across the Spiderverse (2023, Dos Santos)
Aguirre the Wrath of God (1972, Herzog)
the entire Game Awards chat spamming “woke” because the Witcher 4 has you playing as Ciri, a woman, is everything that is wrong with gaming culture.
grow up, incels.
@LetFieldsCook @AnkLe_BrEakEr56 @ImDeadKennedy @Frog_ow2 @PEWDSikeatower1 They do react differently to it though. Like more or less it is seen as good, but the way in which it is reacted to is subjective. Even within that i HAVE heard people criticize it. All shots in a film exist to tell the films story, it’s all contextual and therefore subjective
@AnkLe_BrEakEr56 @ImDeadKennedy @LetFieldsCook @Frog_ow2 @PEWDSikeatower1 Yes it is. What makes a films cinematography good is a very taste based question
@LetFieldsCook @Frog_ow2 @PEWDSikeatower1 Literally everything you just said was subjective. What style of cinematography someone prefers is as subjective as the production of a song. Acting is deeply subjective. Immersion is the goal of some movies, not all. All art is subjective
