Both things can be true.

FH5 can have been disliked - and select players can still prefer it over FH6.

This all-or-nothing, no room for nuance pervasiveness across the racing game community in particular is pretty tiring.

It's happened; @ArcadeDriving have revealed Wreckreation 2.

...just 9 months after the first game released - and after working on it for just 3 months.

All the coverage I've seen so far has glazed it to the ends of the earth.

@KendallFireV2 There's dozens of indie racing game developers out there that deserve your support more than WTT - especially given their track record over the last 15 years.

If you want to enjoy it, go for it - but people that should know better are not being honest with their audiences.

The glazing of the Wreckreation 2 reveal is beyond a joke.

Where's the integrity in the racing game industry?

How can any creator HONESTLY tell their audience to get excited for, and in future spend their hard-earned money continuing to support this team?

This Reddit post isn't being critical of FH6 at all - it's just someone stating they played FH5 and are enjoying it.

Am I crazy or is there nothing wrong in saying that?

This post and the comments just make me sad.

What's wrong with someone enjoying FH5? Pushing the narrative that everyone should hate it creates a monoculture where everyone has the same opinion.

A lot of people didn't enjoy it, but that doesn't mean everyone should dislike it.

Honestly @ArcadeDriving, I know you're looking for funding but sharing a sequel this early in this state is a huge red flag.

Maybe wait until you've given us a good game before saying "we want to become the leading independent studio serving arcade racing players."

The problems I've seen so far:
- 95% the same as the first game
- UI even more muddled than before (with about 5 different fonts)
- graphics, AI and damage look better but still not good by modern standards
- discussing drag & other modes with no promising core gameplay
