Another time a guy came up and tried to grab a "handful" of each of us while drunk because we were foreigners.

@thereturnofBWA It was intense and it was real. They got treated as a joke or as if they were going to explode. They were treated like that in their own neighborhoods. This video and its like are just the surface layer.

@thereturnofBWA Wild place to be speaking from but I was a white woman in Japan with black coworkers. They went through some shit living there. I had unacceptable interactions because I was a westerner, but they had people sneak pictures of them. People wouldn't sit near them in trains or cafes.

That level of hurt for a private person grieving the loss of their child from Jones is incomparable to you having an unpopular opinion. You're protected because you're not causing that level of harm.
