The Bahamian government has not imposed a strict 30-day limit on tourist stays, clarified Immigration Director William Pratt. While a $200 non-refundable fee was introduced in September for extending stays, the maximum allowable stay remains unchanged.

Under the new policy, all visitors receive a minimum of 30 days upon arrival, with extended stays still possible for winter residents, boaters, and others. The policy standardizes the minimum stay while allowing flexibility for longer visits.
