ज़रा सोचिए, क्या कभी अपने माँ-बाप के पैरों को भी इतनी ही श्रद्धा से छुआ है..

माँ-बाप घर में अकेले पड़े रहें, वृद्धाश्रम में रहें या उनकी सेवा के लिए वक्त न हो… लेकिन किसी ढोंगी बाबा के पैरों में गिरने के लिए पूरा समय है..

श्रद्धा रखो, लेकिन अपनी बुद्धि गिरवी मत रखो… जो लोग इंसान के पैरों में अपना सम्मान छोड़ आते हैं, उन्हें एक बार आईना ज़रूर देखना चाहिए… माँ-बाप की सेवा से बड़ा कोई आशीर्वाद नहीं…

Some bonds begin before memory. A twin’s bond begins before birth.

Neha and Major Akshay Girish - the twins shared everything - childhood, laughter, growing up, tying Rakhi on each other and an entire lifetime of memories.
And then came 29 November 2016.
As news of the Jaish-e-Mohammed fidayeen attack at Nagrota flashed on television, Neha kept asking her father:

“Maybe it isn’t true… maybe it isn’t true.”

But it was.

Akshay had volunteered to join the fight. He never came home and when he did he was wrapped in a tricolour.
Losing a sibling is like losing a limb. Losing a twin feels like losing a part of your own existence.
Army families understand the waiting. When my own brother gets posted at the border, there are days when I don’t know where he is or how he is. You learn to live between phone calls, news flashes and one constant prayer - please let him be safe.

Behind every soldier guarding our borders is a family quietly guarding hope.
Akshay gave his life in uniform. Neha has lived ever since carrying the memories of two.
Freedom is not free!
