@steskalj@msdev You can use VisualDock Server to run Windows containers. It's designed as a Windows-native package for running containers on Windows OS. It's free, doesn't require registration, and has NO telemetry.
I feel that 1 Gbps is simply overkill for the absolute majority of home users. It’s indeed satisfying to see such speeds when running speed tests, but I don’t see many benefits besides docker pull, OS updates and Steam game downloads. 300 Mbps is the sweet spot for a single user or a small family.
If you're using the Docker CE Windows binaries to run Windows containers, you might find VisualDock Server interesting: https://t.co/Gin1iW5QTE. It installs a Docker server environment via Windows Installer (run the installer and click Next-Next-Finish for a clean install or update). It comes with an MMC-based management console and supports GPO deployment and unattended installation. It's free for commercial use, collects NO telemetry, and doesn't require registration. I'm on the team building it and would be glad to answer any questions.
@akartit@shanselman Axiorema is building VisualDock Server: https://t.co/izdBTpmkCT. It has an MMC-based GUI console and uses Windows Installer (*.msi) for installation and updates. I'm on the team building this product, and Windows containers are our focus right now.
@JanRingos@anaisbetts I think this is close to what Axiorema is building - VisualDock Server (https://t.co/izdBTpmkCT), a Windows-native Docker server with an MMC console (I'm on the team). Windows containers are a priority for us and we're actively taking feedback.
