@kerrimonaghan1@WeCops Also worth remembering we are dealing with global companies who have to apply policies to law enforcement globally. Are all law enforcement agencies under the same scrutiny as UK Policing but that's the sector we work within.
@kerrimonaghan1@WeCops#WeCops commercial organisations have a different objective for being on Social Media. There are also different expectations on them. I regularly speak to social media platforms they treat public sector and particularly Law Enforcement different to commercial users.
#WeCops my access to Twitter has just been 'rate limited' - how things change - We need to recognise platforms and expectations change. Communications is an evolving skill.
@WeCops We need to listen and be seen to be listening to our communities. #WeCops they are telling us what we can do to build confidence and what concerns them. Understanding how influence the conversations, focus clear outcomes rather than outputs (numbers) for communications.
@westieross@mike200hope@WeCops Its not just the platform - social media use of the public continues to evolve. #WeCops The same approach as 10 years ago isn't good enough. We have to be professional and effective and use the channels what work best for the communities we serve.
@WeCops Important we work out why it's good news and for who. If we are celebrating good news about something the community aren't worried about, whilst ignoring the issue they focus on we aren't relevant. #WeCops
@Kerrinwilson999@WeCops@WMPolice From my experience I've never known a comms team to be reticent to acknowledge great news. They often have to balance media law / contempt and other issues to protect legal proceeding or individuals needs #WeCops@LizzieLancs
@BTPCasey @CCPippaMills @WeCops@BTP@PoliceChiefs#Fantastic we need to remember if we don't share internally, we have no chance of sharing wider. I'm helping forces embrace the tech that now enables this #wecops
@LizzieLancs@WeCops Great @LizzieLancs - good news isn't a single channel or account. Comms teams can make a huge impact in amplifying good news, both in terms of content and channel use. #wecops
@CCPippaMills @Police_Tebb @WeCops The challenge for us to is get help this great content reach the wider audience. #WeCops sadly some accounts only reach a limited audience. Important to use the assets more effectively.
