The body of an elderly man was found in the water at Guiffrida Park in Meriden this morning. Police said water department employees noticed it while working. No foul play suspected at this time. The park is still open, but certain entrances are closed at this time.

A small vigil on the side of Research Parkway in Meriden marks the general area where local teen Jaylon Nixon was killed in a car crash early Sunday morning.
