@powell_peter Yes there are. @BradfordCityAA over 6 years on 2km stretch of R.Aire - >1000 trees planted along banks, substantial fencing on riparian, logs embedded in bed, invasive species substantially removed, large numbers of ranunculus relocated. And still working to improve habitat.

@HardingMike Yes, never fished, just sniffed at the beginning of each trip and carefully replaced in the fly box. So I am told.

@PJennings88 @RiverChess Yes and they are sexually mature at a very small size, hence netting will not eradicate them. Only remove the larger ones.

3. We have a long way to go yet. But, in fairness, all but a few discussions were great with lots of farmers doing and planning to be more environmentally focused. Hope they will sway Mr. Farmer from Carlisle.

2. I would get my digger in there and just dredge it. Poker faced I ask “What about the impact downstream?”. I would hire them my digger. End of conversation Butbsimujar conversations were had with other farmers over the course of two days.
